Adam Cohen, CFA has spent nearly 25 years investing in commercial real estate on behalf of institutions, family offices, and private investors across property type, geography, investment strategy, size, and market cycles. He has over $3.5 billion in transactions experience across more than 95 acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.

A third-generation real estate investor, he has extensive experience managing evergreen portfolios with an eye towards long-term, tax efficient growth.

Prior to founding Complement,  Adam spent 6 years as a Managing Director at Manchester Capital Management in Charlottesville, executing real estate investment strategies for the firm’s family office clients. Prior to Manchester,  Adam spent 13 years with BlackRock in Boston and New York, serving as Director and Portfolio Manager for multiple institutional real estate mandates.

A Vermont native,  Adam received a B.A. in Economics from Bates College and a M.S. in Finance from Northeastern University. He is a CFA charter holder and a member of the Urban Land Institute. He lives in Charlottesville, VA with his wife and three children.
